From Farm to Form in Jordan

A culinary homage to World Olive Tree Day, celebrated around the globe each year on the 26th of November, was marked by a five-course Michelin-starred dinner at Manara Arts & Culture overlooking the scenic views of old Amman.

70 guests wined and dined in a room bustling with dedicated culinarians, leading chefs, gastronomy enthusiasts and dedicated supporters of From Farm to Fork in Jordan - all gathered to taste the unique flavors of the Middle East and the fall season with produce sourced from nearby farms and suppliers. A special thank you to all our guests, the amazing chefs from Canada, The Netherlands, and Jordan, and our sponsors and supporters to bring sustainable culinary tourism to Jordan.

The dinner featured 100% seasonal 100% local menu featuring 5 hero ingredients and 5 courses prepared by 5 leading chefs: Executive Chef Jonathan Zandbergen (Michelin-star, Restaurant Hotel Merlet), Chef Maisa Miqdadi (MaisaLetsTalkFood), Chef Moeen Abu Zaid (The Broken English), Chef Najwan Almasri (The Precious, Dead Sea), Executive Chef Hamzeh Abu El-Foul (Fairmont Amman), supported by students of the Royal Academy of Culinary Arts. In Celebration of Olive Oil is the first of four seasonal culinary tours in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. From Farm to Fork in Jordan© is a sustainable culinary tourism project co-created by @healthcuisine with 60+ stakeholders from the agriculture, tourism, hospitality, and education sectors in Jordan and seed-funded by the Ministry of Agriculture, Nature, and Food Quality of the Netherlands.
